Experience
Working with Brittany
Photography has given me the incredible privilege of documenting some of life's most meaningful moments—from growing families and newborn snuggles to cake smashes, milestone birthdays, and everything in between. Over the years, I've had the honor of working with families of all backgrounds, personalities, and ages, and one thing has remained true: no two families are ever the same. That's what I love most.
Children have always held a special place in my heart, and they've become the center of my work. Whether your little one is shy, energetic, curious, independent, or simply having an "off" day, I meet them exactly where they are. I don't expect children to sit perfectly still or smile on command. Instead, I create an environment where they can play, explore, laugh, and simply be themselves. Those genuine moments are the ones that become the most treasured memories.
As a mom myself, I understand that every child experiences the world differently. My oldest son was diagnosed with autism at the age of four, and that journey has shaped not only who I am as a parent, but also the photographer I've become. It has taught me patience, flexibility, and the importance of slowing down, following a child's lead, and celebrating every little victory. Because of that firsthand experience, I welcome children of all abilities and strive to create a calm, judgment-free experience where every family feels seen, supported, and celebrated.
For me, photography is about so much more than beautiful images. It's about preserving the laughter, the connection, the milestones, and even the beautifully imperfect moments that tell your family's story. Years from now, I hope your photographs don't just remind you of what life looked like—I hope they remind you exactly how it felt.

FAQ
01. How far in advance should I book a custom cake smash?
Custom cake smash sessions should be booked at least 4 weeks in advance. This allows enough time to design, order, and create your one-of-a-kind setup. Your session date is not reserved until your signed contract and retainer have been received. While I always do my best to accommodate last-minute requests, custom themes cannot be guaranteed without adequate planning time.

02. What can I expect during a newborn session?

My newborn sessions are a relaxed blend of lifestyle moments and simple posed portraits. I focus on capturing your family's connection while also including classic wrapped poses, natural setups, and all of those tiny details you'll want to remember forever. My goal is to create a calm, comfortable experience for both baby and parents.

03. Do you travel for sessions?

Absolutely! I'm based in Harford County, Maryland, and travel is included within 15 miles of my service area. Sessions outside of that distance are always welcome and may be subject to a small travel fee. If you have a location in mind, just let me know, and I'll be happy to provide a quote.

04. When are your sessions available?

Photography is my passion alongside my full-time career, so most sessions are scheduled after 5:00 PM Monday through Friday to take advantage of the beautiful evening light. Weekend sessions are my primary availability and fill quickly, so I recommend booking early. If you need a different day or time, feel free to reach out—I'm always happy to see if we can make it work.
